An excerpt from the final written proposal for this PSA awareness strategy on Spotify
"We acknowledge that this is a heavy topic that is hard to share the experience with other people, even our loved ones. So as a part of the campaign, we decided to host a podcast channel where we would invite survivors to share their stories. This would allow people who have unfortunately experienced rape to feel a sense of relatedness, that they are not alone in the world, and someone out there understands what they are going through. We also think that the host should be an experienced therapist in dealing with mental health trauma to advise the guests and the listeners as they try to overcome their experiences. In addition, bystanders, close friends, or family members will also have a chance to share their experiences. Even though they did not experience the trauma, some people will still feel guilty for not realizing it or helping stop it from happening, especially in situations where the victims did not survive. These stories are not only meant to help survivors, but educate the general public about the repercussions of rape and train them on how to identify a rape situation and intervene safely."
